China’s Economic Stimulus Package Benefits the American Enterprises
2009-5-18
More and more American companies have benefited from China’s rapid-implemented economic stimulus package. CEO James W. Owens of Caterpillar said that in recent months the company’s sales of excavators in the Chinese market had been restored to the highest level in history, reversing the decline of the sharp drop in the winter sales. The world’s largest steel company Arcelor-Mittal said that the Chinese stimulus package had inspired the steel demand, avoiding the excess Chinese iron and steel flowing into the global market and further suppressing the price. Economist Daniel Meckstroth of Vermont public policy organization Manufacturers Alliance (MAPI) said that the world hoped China become the growth engine, driving the global economy out of the current recession, just as the United States lead the global economic growth after the Internet bubble.
