No. of companies: To be confirmed   Overseas: To be confirmed Total investments: To be confirmed Wujiang Export Processing Zone (WEPZ) was approved by the State Council on June 3rd, 2005, with a planned area of 1 sq.km. It was certified by the General Administration of Customs and seven other ministries for operation on December 12th, 2006. High standard infrastructure has been prepared in WEPZ. The WEPZ Administrative Bureau, the Customs, the Commodity Inspection Bureau, bank, customs declaration agencies, forwarders etc. offer one-stop services. Information technology is utilized to realize online customs declaration, online inspection and quarantine declaration. A service center and dormitory building are built in the north of WEPZ, providing various services include trading, dwelling, relaxation etc. Investors can enjoy the most-favored policies, the most-standard administration, and the most-convinent service. Approved by the State Council on June 3rd, 2005, Wujiang Export Processing Zone (WEPZ) lies in the south of Wujiang Economic Development Zone with a planned area of 1sq.km.. After one-year constraction, it was certified by the General Administration of Customs and seven other ministries for operation on December 12th, 2006. TAXATION INCENTIVES No VAT or consumption tax on products manufactured or services provided from WEPZ. Import tax exemption or bonded for imports: 1. Import taxes are exempted for machines and equipment needed to build infrastructure facilities for production, and building materials needed to construct production plants and storage facilities; 2. Import taxes are exempted for machines, equipment, moulds for production and parts for maintenance purposes; 3. Import taxes are exempted for the reasonable amount of office supplies used by enterprises and administrative bodies; 4. Imported raw materials, parts, components, packaging materials, and consumables for production needs are bonded. No export VAT for products manufactured in WEPZ. For domestic produced machinery, equipment, raw materials, components, packaging materials and construction materials at reasonable amount sold in WEPZ, supplier enjoys VAT rebate. VAT on water, power and gas consumed for production in WEPZ will be rebate. For products sold into domestic markets, the buyer needs to pay import taxes. CUSTOMS ADMINISTRATION For transaction with outside China, except for passive export quota, there will be no quota or license requirement. Recording system for transaction with outside China, and declaration system for transaction with outside EPZ in china. Direct or trans-customs delivery allowed for goods to and from outside China. Paperless customs recording are in operation. 24 hours customs clearance is available. All procedures of recording, declaration, inspection, release and verification are done in EPZ. Bonded transfer of goods for further processing to processing trade enterprises and warehousing enterprises in other EPZs, FTZs and bonded transfer to processing trade enterprises in other normal areas are allowed. For processing trade inside EPZ, there will be no band account deposit system, nor processing trade logbook management. Electronic data recording is in place instead. Commodities, articles which are not prohibited by the State can enter and leave EPZ. Production or warehousing enterprises in EPZ will go through electronic data verification and cancellation every half a year. FOREIGN EXCHANGE ADMINISTRATION No cancellation upon verification procedure for foreign currency payment or earning with outside China. Companies inside EPZ can change for foreign currency to make payment to outside China or outside EPZ if there is in sufficient deposit in their foreign currency account. COMMODITY INSPECTION & QUARANTINE (CIQ) Goods entering or leaving EPZ will go through simplified CIQ procedures in EPZ and no further inspection needed at port. Raw materials, components imported for production, office supplies or life consumables imported for self-use are exempted from quality inspection. Export goods, only those statutory inspection products marked with “made in China��? or with Chinese trademark, or applying for CO or those who asks for quality certificate from CIQ will need CIQ inspection. For goods entering EPZ from other parts of Mainland China, there will be no CIQ procedures. For goods entering domestic China from EPZ, no quarantine needed, and only statutory import inspection products will undergo inspection. The scrap or used electromechatronic products will only go through environmental inspection. For goods manufacture in EPZ, one can apply for GSP or CO certificates according to China’s regulations on place of origin.
